I would recommend Bike breaks to anyone wishing to tour Girona and surrounding area. They are a professional team of enthusiasts and really do think of everything. . We all had varying abilities but our Guide Josep went above and beyond to make sure our cycling experience suited everyone. A really lovely guy and a pleasure to hear his stories over a well earned beer after a long day in the saddle.

The ladies in the main shop are very experienced and nothing is to much bother. Very friendly.
They have just opened a new clothing shop.
The rental bikes are very high spec.

We booked rental bikes and guiding services through Bike Breaks on a recent trip to Girona. Dave and Saskia are incredibly hospitable and will do all they can to make your experience stress free. Our rental bikes were in good condition and I had no problem with shifting or other mechanical issues. We rode 2 shop rides and booked a private guide for three days. Our ride leader Josep was the best we have ever had. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and most importantly kept our rides safe. I highly recommend this business.

We had an absolutely incredible experience on the Medieval Villages tour with Josep! He ensured the ride was at the perfect level for two (very) amateur cyclists—challenging enough to feel like a significant accomplishment by the end of the trip, but manageable, enjoyable, and safe the whole way through.

The villages of the Girona countryside are truly a sight to see. Straight out of a fairy tale, with winding cobblestone roads, castles, and old farmhouses dotting the hills. Josep seemed to know the history of every square meter of land we passed, and his stories complemented the beautiful scenery perfectly. All in all, an experience we will never forget!

I can’t say how great the team at Bike Breaks are for new visitors to the area. Myself and my friend immediately felt welcome and part of the local community. Highly recommend the Thursday shop ride for a steady leg stretcher. We had the pleasure of having Josep as our guide on Friday and he was so much more than someone to guide us along. He taught us so much about gearing, descending and even how to put a slipped chain back on with a branch #legend. The road bikes we hired were A1 and the shop itself is a treasure trove of things to buy and look at. Good luck for the future Dave, Saskia and team. We will be back
